Washington DC-
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) appeared on Fox News and stated directly that the Democratic Socialists of America are funded and tied to the Communist Chinese Party. She identified mega-donor Neville Roy Singham, currently under Department of Justice investigation, as a central figure pushing Marxism and coordinating with groups such as the Party for Socialism and Liberation. According to Luna, these networks work to target moderate Democrats and flip seats. She further described the DSA platform itself as racist, citing recent candidates who made anti-white and anti-Semitic remarks.
The claim is not new. House Oversight and Ways and Means committees have pursued Singham for months, issuing subpoenas and examining hundreds of millions of dollars routed through nonprofits that promote socialist causes and align with Chinese government talking points. A federal grand jury in the Southern District of New York is investigating possible financial crimes connected to the same network. Singham, who lives in Shanghai, has not registered under the Foreign Agents Registration Act despite the documented flow of money into U.S. activist organizations.
The practical result has been a set of cultural and political projects that consistently advance positions useful to Beijing. Open-border policies that create permanent ethnic and religious enclaves weaken national cohesion. DEI mandates and the placement of transgender-identifying individuals in the military degrade unit readiness and institutional trust. Aggressive promotion of sexual identity politics divides families and institutions that once served as social glue. None of these outcomes require a signed directive from Beijing. They require only sustained funding for organizations whose stated goals already match the CCP’s interest in a fragmented, internally distracted United States.
Luna’s remarks on national television simply made the funding connection explicit. The major networks have not treated the statement as a story requiring follow-up investigation. Viewers are left with the same pattern seen in other areas: claims that challenge the prevailing progressive consensus are aired briefly, then set aside while the underlying financial networks continue operating. Whether the DSA functions as an independent domestic movement or as an instrument aligned with foreign communist interests is a question that now has a public record behind it. That record includes congressional subpoenas, a DOJ grand jury, and a sitting member of Congress stating the connection on the record.
